For each author there seem to be around half a dozen quite in-depth little clips, as they chat around what makes them write. Authors include Jacqueline Wilson, Valerie Bloom, Debi Gliori, Steve Horowitz, Michael Morpurgo and many more.
Really worth spending five minutes getting used to it first.

Visit in a new windowAttractively-presented Scholastic USA resource that gives plenty of good advice to would-be descriptive writers. For example, under the 'brainstorming' tab they advise us to: 'Write simply. Say exactly what you see, feel, hear, and so on. Be specific when you write. For example, instead of tree, say what kind of tree.' We like it a lot - good for Gifted and Talented pupils.
